While Invantive Cloud has been successfully connected to Exact Online, I am still trying to understand how to connect Invantive database to Looker Studio directly.
I was told that we could connect it to Google Cloud but I am curious if we could bypass this.
I am not sure how familiar you are with Looker Studio but usually Looker Studio offers connections to these types of databases:
MSSQL,
MySQL and
PostgresSQL.
For starters, which type of database is Invantive?
Secondly, is there an IP or a host name to the database?
To connect Looker Studio to a database, I usually require these information: Host or IP, Database, Username and Password. Now I see that all IP addresses are whitelisted in Invantive. I guess I could replace this with the Looker Studio common IP address, right?
Finally, if this does not work out, I was told there is a possibility to connect Invantive to Google Cloud SQL Server: Connect to SQL Server on Google Cloud.
Nevertheless, this article seems to miss how to connect Invantive Cloud to Google Cloud SQL Server.
An Invantive Cloud-database is typically accessed using the OData4 bridge named Bridge Online (see What are the critical points for implementing Power BI? as a good starting page on the most common questions and solutions).
