How do we resolve this?

From the monitoring, the following notification can be seen:

Authentication failed:
Too many consecutive invalid login attempts for user ‘***’.
The first failed attempt was on 22-07-2026 03:35:57 (UTC) and the last on 23-07-2026 08:36:21 (UTC).
Check if you can log in with this code on the Invantive Cloud website and try again after 23-07-2026 09:10:58 (UTC).

Check:

  • whether the user logging in on the Credentials server is a user of the database owner or has delegation;
  • whether the password is correct by logging in with it on Invantive Cloud or Bridge Online;
  • if the user is a service account;
  • whether the database allows the use of the Credentials Server;
  • whether the IP address is permitted within the database.

Given the error message, it is likely that the issue lies in the first or second point.

I don’t understand any of this. A consultant from Invantive set this up. I used my account from Exact Online and logged in. I did this again this morning!

How can I check this?

whether the user logging in to the Credentials server is a user of the database owner or has delegation;

In Invantive Cloud under Users.

whether the password is correct by logging in with it to Invantive Cloud or Bridge Online

By logging in with those credentials on Invantive Bridge Online.

This seems to be going well.

Does it work through the software now as well?

Sorry, one more attempt please. I saw a login attempt come in, but it still didn’t work.

The login attempts seem to be going through [redacted]

What do you see from that?

I do see an attempt coming in. Can you try once more?

Can you see now if this is going well?

Yes, the login is working fine now. I can’t see the reason from here. Is it possible that this morning there were multiple attempts with incorrect login credentials?

Nothing has changed on our end.

I still don’t see any new data in Exact Online…

The advice is to involve the administrator of your environment.
