Provide limited dataset to user

I have the following case.
We have an integration with oDoo. For this, a data container and database have been created. In this setup, we can see everything.
We want to create a new user who can view a limited dataset.

What is the best way to approach this? Creating a user is not the problem, but how do I limit the number of tables that are visible? Should that be a new database or something else?

There are several possibilities.

The basic principle is that every Invantive Cloud user can access every table in every data container.

If a security layer is needed, it is advisable to organise it by:

  • Either with a separate environment/subscription and limiting user rights in Odoo (thus for Invantive UniversalSQL).
  • Or with a separate post-processing such as in a Power BI environment (thus after Invantive UniversalSQL).

If it is desired as a usability feature, it is advisable to choose a naming convention that is easy to find, such as “…View”.
