Exact Online Webhooks
Exact Online uses webhooks to near real-time inform external parties of business events in an asynchroneous fashion.
Invantive Data Replicator can use the events collected by the Invantive Customer Service in a queue to update your local copies with figures from thousands of companies. Read more in Use Trickle Loading with Exact Online Webhooks and How to Analyze Exact Online Webhook Issues for Trickle Loading.
Originating Nodes
Despite Exact Online running on Amazon (AWS), the webhooks are delivered from Microsoft Azure-based edge nodes.
An analysis was made across 235.157 webhook events to establish the nodes involved. Data on the origin of webhook events was collected on January 3, 2022 (UTC) for webhook events from various countries and thousands of companies.
The data originated from four nodes, with all four nodes shipping webhook events during the whole day:
- ::ffff:40.118.24.36
- ::ffff:40.118.29.70
- ::ffff:40.118.27.91
- ::ffff:40.118.31.77
However, each of the nodes delivered different magnitudes of webhook events:
IP-address | Quantity | Share |
---|---|---|
::ffff:40.118.24.36 | 114.060 | 50% |
::ffff:40.118.29.70 | 49.363 | 21% |
::ffff:40.118.27.91 | 28.469 | 12% |
::ffff:40.118.31.77 | 43.265 | 18% |
The node “::ffff.40.118.24.36” ships approximately 50% of the webhook messages, where the other three nodes handle the rest somewhat evenly distributed.
