Currency of EUR /USD end of the month is weekend

We are using Exact online for accounting booking.

We use end of the month currency for the BS account booking.

In ECB record, there is no data of weekend. For instance, end of the January 31,01,2021 is Saturday, we need to use rate of 30th January because there is no data in ECB in the weekend.

But your Currency Tool has data of currency in the weekend and holiday as well.

Please let me know where the source come from.

And please let us know if we use this data (weekend currency), is it applied to Dutch Accounting rule?

Voor Exact Online administraties in Euro’s worden de door ECB gepubliceerde dagwisselkoersen voor vreemde valuta ingelezen. Deze ECB dagwisselkoersen worden gecompleteerd door Invantive met de dagwisselkoersen van Open Exchange Rates voor de dagen en vreemde valuta waarvoor ECB geen koersen afgeeft. In totaal zijn bijna 200 vreemde valuta beschikbaar.

Exact Online Administraties in Andere Valuta

Voor Exact Online administraties in andere valuta dan de Euro zoals Britse Ponden en Amerikaanse Dollars worden de laatste bekende dagwisselkoersen van Open Exchange Rates gebruikt met bijna 200 vreemde valuta. De wisselkoers met de Euro wordt indien beschikbaar toegevoegd uit de ECB gegevens.

For Exact Online companies in Euro the ECB published day (end) exchange rates for foreign currencies will be imported. These ECB day change rates are supplemented by Invantive with the day (end) exchange rates of Open Exchange Rates for the days and/or foreign currencies for which ECB does not publish exchange rates. In total almost 200 foreign currencies are available.

Exact Online companies in other currencies

For Exact Online companies in other currencies than the Euro like British Pounds and US Dollars the last known daily exchange rates of Open Exchange Rates are used from almost 200 foreign currencies. The exchange rate with the Euro is added when available from the ECB data.

The software does not apply any actual accounting principles; it just loads exchange rates from the mentioned sources. Applying these to get a monetary value in company currency is up to Exact Online and the finance user.
