Invantive Keychain bewaart gevoelige gegevens van een gebruikers in een versleutelde opslag op het apparaat. Soms is het nodig om de gegevens zoals wachtwoorden te kunnen gebruiken buiten het apparaat, bijvoorbeeld bij het importeren van de Keychain op een ander apparaat.
Dit topic beschrijft hoe de inhoud van Invantive Keychain geëxporteerd kan worden.
Het resultaat is een XML-bestand van de inhoud van de Invantive Keychain, zoals:

De volgende stappen exporteren de inhoud van Invantive Keychain naar een XML-bestand:
- Start Invantive Data Hub.
- Meld aan op een willekeurige database.
- Stel een wachtwoord in voor het exporteren.
- Exporteer de Keychain.
Data Hub
Deze stappen zijn alleen mogelijk met Invantive Data Hub. Het maakt niet uit of een Windows, MacOS of Linux-versie gebruikt wordt van Invantive Data Hub. De andere producten zoals Invantive Query Tool en Invantive Control for Excel bieden op dit moment geen mogelijkheid om de Keychain te exporteren. Voor de export kan de gratis Public Data licentie gebruikt worden.
Start Data Hub
Op Windows kan Invantive Data Hub gestart worden via het Windows Start-menu. Op MacOS en Linux gebeurt dit meestal via de commandoregel:

De verbinding met de database is nu opgebouwd en de command-prompt INVANTIVE> verschijnt.
Stel Exportwachtwoord in
De software vereist dat een wachtwoord ingesteld wordt om de Keychain te kunnen exporteren. Bij elke volgende export zal dit wachtwoord opgegeven moeten worden. Het instellen gaat via het local keychain commando. Het standaard ingestelde wachtwoord is default. Dit standaard wachtwoord kan niet gebruikt worden om gegevens uit de Keychain te exporteren.
