Itgenclr083 foutmeldingen bij gebruik Exact Online XML tabellen sinds 10 mei 20:00 UTC

Sinds vanochtend 11 mei 2022 treedt bij het uitlezen van de XML Exact Online tabellen zoals BalanceLinesPerPeriod regelmatig een foutmelding itgenclr083 op. Dit behelst een foutmelding bij het downloaden via HTTP.

Het probleem treedt niet consistent op. Normaliter treedt dit probleem intensief op tijdens een nachtelijke aanpassing van Exact Online zoals op de vroege ochtend van 5 mei. Ook komt het enkele keren per dag voor tijdens normaal gebruik, maar in minder dan 1/10e promille van de downloads.

De itgenclr083 foutmelding treedt sinds gisteravond 20:00 UTC (tien uur Nederlandse tijd) frequent op. Op dit moment treedt het probleem nog steeds frequent op.

Advies is om downloads te herhalen; het real-time karakter van Invantive Cloud en SQL zorgt er voor dat verwerkingsproblemen bij Exact Online meteen zichtbaar worden, maar ook het oplossen leidt meteen tot een verbetering.

Het probleem lijkt telkens een HTTP-status 503: Service Unavailable te zijn.

Dit topic zal bijgewerkt worden indien er meer informatie beschikbaar komt.

Problem seems to be caused by an Akamai block due to alleged scraping. From another Exact partner (thanks Alex of Vontis) we received message that they had exactly the same 503 issue with XML and Akamai starting this week. Contact has been established for whitelisting.

Mogelijk wordt het alleen-XML karakter veroorzaakt door de Akamai load balancer voor de XML API-oproepen naar Exact Online. De XML API’s hebben andere snelheidslimieten dan de REST API’s.

De blokkade wordt waarschijnlijk op IP-adres getriggerd, waarschijnlijk door een trigger die een te frequent overschrijden uit een ingestelde regel registreert.

Het probleem kan zichtbaar worden gemaakt door een browser te openen op https://start.exactonline.nl. Blokkades worden sinds afgelopen maandag op veel apparaten automatisch geactiveerd, ook als er gebruik gemaakt wordt van andere software dan Invantive voor het koppelen met Exact Online.

Het probleem treedt uitsluitend op bij het gebruik van de XML API’s. De REST API’s zoals TransactionLinesIncremental ervaren geen problemen.

Via bijvoorbeeld de DevTools van Chrome is te zien dat de HTTP status 503 is op de pagina zelf. Een tweetal ontbrekende afbeeldingen geven daarnaast een 403 melding. Het referentienummer kan variëren, en bijvoorbeeld ook “18.1ff06e68.1652265210.2ec1c85” zijn. Het referentienummer is nodig om het IP-adres te laten whitelisten; het is niet mogelijk om met alleen het IP-adres een whitelist entry op Akamai te krijgen.

De gebruikte HTML is te vinden door onderstaande groep open te vouwen.

Vanaf release 22.0.184 zal itgenclr083 gesplitst worden voor Exact Online Akamai meldingen naar itgenexl160 voor eenvoudiger herkenning.

Exact Online en zijn transportpartner hebben een oplossing gevonden. Het lijkt erop dat per ongeluk alle Exact Online XML API toegang werd beschouwd als webscraping en niet als legitiem API verkeer. Na correctie zijn alle diensten hersteld, ook van alle Invantive producten, zowel online als on-premises.
