The verification code from an Authenticator app contributes to the security of your data. But due to phone changes or phone resets the settings often disappear, making a user account on Invantive Cloud inaccessible (displaying message code itgenuuy010).
This article explains how to reset the MFA code. This procedure may take several days.
MFA Reset Request
An MFA reset request for a user can be submitted by sending an email to usermanagement@invantive.com containing the name and email address of the user and the name of the organization of the environment.
The requester will receive a ticket.
Invantive User Management will initiate an outbound call to the user on a registered phone number to authorize the reset. The request will be canceled if the user is not reachable in a maximum of three attempts. It is not possible to mandate another person to approve the MFA reset.
After authorization the MFA code will be reset immediately. You can immediately log in to Invantive Cloud and scan and add the new MFA code to your phone.
Prevent re-setting
Users of Google Authenticator can transfer accounts between phones. The procedure for this is described in How do I transfer Google Authenticator accounts from phone to phone?.
