The Excel add-in for Odoo ERP is a tool to enable live access to Odoo ERP data from within Microsoft Excel. This tool, named Invantive Control for Excel, allows you to read and change Odoo data in one or hundreds of Odoo databases and companies. Intended for use by finance professionals, such as controllers and accountants, there is a list of Excel formulas to directly use current figures from Odoo in your formulas. A large number of optimizations make the Odoo Excel add-in provide excellent performance, even for large enterprises and during complex accounting cycles.
This topic collects elements missing from the current release for Odoo of the Excel add-in Invantive Control for Excel, and what already has been made available.

For initial functionality, the following elements are intended to be included to handle Odoo data:
- financial reporting in terms of budgets and actuals (similar to Exact Online formulas),
- cross-database data retrieval for use with Odoo Accountancy,
- cross-company data retrieval within one database for use with Odoo Entrepreneur,
- wildcard matching on database, company, general ledger account (example), cost center and cost unit (example).

The Invantive Control Excel add-in for Odoo also includes data exchange using Data Loader and Query Tool:
The Query Tool supports all Invantive SQL and PSQL functionality, such as a filtered query through the external API:

The graphical data loader provides some data exchange features, but full flexibility requires the Query Tool and/or Invantive Cloud:
