Invantive offers several reporting tools for Exact Online, providing every type of user with relevant business intelligence. There are roughly three types of reports:

  • Fixed reports: a fixed list for, for example, a daily overview of items shipped in Exact Online or fixed tables for creating a pivot table in Excel.

  • Flexible dashboards: an overview of KPIs with the option to zoom in on the underlying details from Exact Online from the dashboard, such as with a Power BI or Tableau dashboard.

  • Raw business data from Exact Online: for further processing in your own data warehouse and existing reporting tool or BI software.

Exact itself offers virtually no reporting tools apart from a few reports, but this shortcoming has led to a lively and wide range of reporting tools. A reporting tool often needs to look beyond just a report on all the different Exact Online companies from one or more Exact Online countries. Consider, for example, the integration of hours worked, leave and absenteeism from NMBRS or Loket, and linking financial transactions to marketing activities on Facebook, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign or Salesforce.

Power BI dashboards

Power BI is available in a version for Windows Desktops and in a web version. The web version of Power BI also works on mobile devices. The abbreviation ‘BI’ indicates that it stands for ‘business intelligence’. Invantive offers a Power BI connector for Exact Online with Invantive Cloud. With this solution, your organisation can choose from information from more than 1,100 tables within minutes.

The monthly cost for entrepreneurs is EUR 59 for up to 25 companies. If there are more than 25 companies, the monthly cost increases to EUR 118 for 50 companies.

In addition to Invantive’s Power BI connector for Exact Online, all other platforms supported by Invantive Cloud can be included in Power BI dashboards. Get My Report for Exact Online reports

Get My Report (https://get-my-report.invantive.com) is an easy-to-use website that works on all platforms: phone, tablet, Windows, Mac, and Linux. Dozens of reports are available as standard. Each report can be requested for one or all Exact companies. In addition, company-specific reports can be added for a few hundred pounds. Get My Report does not offer the option to process data from other cloud platforms. For this, the Excel add-in Invantive Control, Power BI or Invantive Cloud are better alternatives.

Get My Report for Exact Online is part of the same subscription bundle as the Power BI driver for Exact Online; the total number of companies accessed is deduplicated and results in the number of companies accessed. Use is free and without obligation for the first 180 days.

Invantive Control for Excel with Exact Online formulas

This Exact Online Excel add-in makes it easy to compile reports for dozens to hundreds of companies. For example, the consolidation of cash flow forecasts or actual figures is easy to do. On the one hand, the Excel add-in offers many Exact Online formulas that can be used to create calculation formulas with real-time figures from Exact. On the other hand, this Excel plugin also offers users all tables from Exact and more than 70 other platforms such as Loket, NMBRS and Simplicate to develop a coherent report about your organisation.

Invantive Cloud

Invantive Cloud is an online solution that, in addition to Exact Online, makes dozens of other platforms available for Power BI, Microsoft Power Query, Azure Data Factory and other OData-based platforms. Invantive Cloud is suitable for up to 500 companies. Usually, data that is up to a few hours old is used, but for up-to-date dashboards, optimisation can reduce the delay to a few seconds for many KPIs. As a reporting tool, Invantive Cloud also offers the possibility of web apps: small modules that easily process data from Exact Online and other platforms such as Chargebee or ActiveCampaign into simple lists, reports, but also update options for, for example, settling current account balances.

Invantive Data Replicator

A reporting tool for hundreds to thousands of Exact Online administrations often uses Invantive Data Hub and its big brother, Data Replicator.

Starting at EUR 119 per month, it is possible to copy data from Exact to tables in relational SQL databases (on-premise or in the cloud, such as Azure). As an indication: the cost of copying 25 administrations is EUR 119 per month. Invantive Data Hub and Invantive Data Replicator are separate from the bundle with the Power BI driver for Exact Online, Get My Report, Invantive Cloud and Invantive Control for Excel, and are charged separately.

This rapid copying from Exact Online to SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle or MySQL means that a report will only contain the new data up to one day after the transactions have been registered by users in Exact Online. By using a little knowledge, this delay can be reduced to a few hours or even seconds.

The copied data is often used for operational processes such as real-time listing, but also for complex dashboards and operational efficiency when performing large numbers of Exact administrations.
