Itgenlic717: The license key has been disabled on the license server

When starting our Invantive software, you may receive an itgenlic717 error message:

The license key has been disabled on the license server.
ActivationFailed: The license has been disabled in the service. ServiceNotificationFailed: The license has been disabled in the service. Please contact Invantive License Desk regarding license contract code ‘L???’.

This error message indicates that the license key used is no longer valid. The license key can no longer be used and will have to be replaced by a valid license key.

The reason the key is no longer valid can have various causes.

The solution to solving the itgenlic717 in most cases is to execute the following steps:

  • Log in to Invantive Cloud
  • Navigate to Agreements
  • Look up the agreement previously used (usually there is just one)
  • Navigate to License Keys using the top navigation
  • Look up the the top-most active license key. If there is no active license key, contact Invantive Sales.
  • In the license key details, you can download the license key or copy it.
  • Paste the license key in the Invantive desktop software or place it in the designated folder on your computer.
